Women in different eras

Often we come across women who have attained victory in various fields- Government, Politics, Business, Entertainment, Media, Sports and many more. Although we rejoice over their accomplishment, but seldom do we spare a thought about the efforts and commitment put in by them in order to climb the ladder of success. Unlike men, they not only have to shed their blood, sweat and tears but also have to break the deep- rooted cultural and social stereotypes. In this article of mine, I have tried to present the stories of some women in different eras, who just rose through the ranks and have left their footsteps behind for billions of young girls with big ambitions to follow. Communal conflicts in India

COMMUNAL CONFLICTS IN INDIA: Perhaps, this is one of the PERENNIAL problems of India. Since years, communal problems have engulfed our nation into hatred, jealousy,narrow-mindedness, a feeling of insecurity and difference of opinions shared among various communities. All this has only become an impediment in our all-round development. Be it the horrendous Gujarat riots or the tarnished Muzaffarnagar riots, India has been tolerating this bunkum since a long time now. According to me it is all connected to ‘sentiments’, which have a major hand behind all these problems. Take the example of the train at Godhra which was burnt, assassinating all the Hindu pilgrims returning from Ayodhya. This acted as a catalyst in bringing about the Gujarat riots which assassinated not only hundreds of Muslims but also many innocent women and children, who had no role in any of the events which unfolded there.
